11 - 11 - 11

Last November 11, 2011, we had our educational trip or feildtrip. It is quite a special day because it is 11 - 11 - 11 and it is my second fieldtrip in CNSHS and looking at the itineraries, I can say that this one is better that last year's fieldtrip. So this is our different itineraries: Science Discovery Center, Kulturang Pinoy and Myth of the Human Body.

We headed first to Science Discovery at MOA. I have been there before so I saw the same things again but it's still different if you have your classmates and friends with you.We still had fun roaming around looking at the different things the have inside. We also watched a video clip about the universe.

After that, we went to Kulturang Pinoy, there are performers inside they are kind of fun to be with. There are also different sections and we also looked around there. Next is the Myth of the Human Body, we first watched a video clip about how life of a human starts. We also saw different parts of our body being exhibited there. Every part of the human body is shown there. It's really a fun and a must visit museum.

We went back to MOA for malling. Me and my friends went to Bowling Center and played billiards. It is very fun. Then we ate dinner and went home. It is a very happy day for me.

I chose this song for the teachers because they really are making a difference in every student that they teach. They don't only teach , they also guide us to grow up as a respectable human. That is why they are also called our second parent. They are included to the people that continues to make a difference in our life.

NCAE day

We need jobs to have money so that we can buy food drinks clothes and others to live. It is also important to have nice jobs so that we can be very successful and rich. But we need to be happy of what we are doing and we must choose carefully which course to take in college. That's why there is NCAE or National Career Assessment Examination to help guide high school students like us on which course to take in college.

Last September 27 we had our NCAE. We are supposed to be on the school before 6:30. After arriving we waited for our proctor. He arrived past 7. First he called our names one by one. Then he gave us the answer sheet and the booklet. He instructed us and read the guidelines in taking the exam. After filling up the informations, we started taking the exam. We had recess and then lunch break. He dismissed us 12:00

I still don't know what course to take but I like computer programming because right now I'm quite addicted at using the computer. I'm still waiting for the results of the test so I can know what courses that suit me.

if i will be a tree

If I will be a tree, I want to be a Coconut tree because it has great versatility as seen in the many domestic, commercial, and industrial uses of it's parts. It also known as the tree of life because of the endless list of the products and by-products derived from it's various parts. It is very useful to humans and I want to be just like that.

I want to help people in any way that I can. I want to be useful to my parents by helping them in doing the household chores, by giving them less headache, by studying hard. Every part of the Coconut tree has it's own uses and is very helpful to humans.

BEST intrams so far. :))

September 16 and 17 were the scheduled daysof our intramurals this school year. I was very excited to play and enjoy the whole day. The day before the Intrams, September 15, we had our practice day. We first cleaned the court and practiced basketball with my teammates. It was tiring but our practice was worth it. The next day: Intrams day! We came to school wearing our Intrams shirt. The team names this year were based on cars, Green Chevrolet for freshmen, Yellow Lamborghini for sophomores, Red Ferrari for us juniors, and Blue Porsche for seniors.

We first had an assembly in the court. Ma'am de Vera delivered the opening speech and the participants for the Mr. and Ms. Physique were introduced. Then the cheer dancers performed on the court. Then the basketball game (boys) started. The first game was Red Ferrari against the Green Chevrolet. I was excited and confident that we will win this game, fortunately we won. Of course, Mhyllie led the team with 18 points. I know I'm not the star player of the team so I'm contented with my 5 points. After that we rested and watched the other games.

The 2nd day started. My excitement was doubled because we will face Blue Porsche in the championship game. We practiced in the morning, watched the match between the Yellow Lamborghini and Green Chevrolet. After that, it was my most awaited moment: the finals in basketball (boys). We had a warm up and started the game. At first and second quarters the seniors were ahead of us by many points, but in the third and fourth quarters we came close and had an overtime. During overtime I focused mainly on defense and let Mhyllie take care of the offense. I was not able to finish the game because I had cramps in the last minute of the OT. In the last 10 seconds we were already ahead by 6 points and I thought to my self: WE MADE IT! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!! All the juniors who watched the game were yelling and were very happy for our win. We shook hands with the seniors for the good game and we celebrated. After that we watched and cheered for the girls in basketball (girls). They won against the freshmen but lost against the seniors. It was okay, at least they did their best and finished 2nd place.

It was one of the best and memorable days in my life. And I can say that compared to the Intrams last year and when I was in first year, this is the best Intrams so far in my high school life. Go Red Ferrari!!!

I heart music.

Music is something that gives life to a person. Whenever I listen to music, it gives me relaxation. I can express my feelings through the songs that I listen to. Music also saves me from boredom. Whatever I do, I always listen to music. Actually, I am listening to music while typing this blog. Sometimes, when I can't sleep at night I just listen to music and I can sleep easily.

My favorite genres are alternative rock and punk. My favorite bands are There For Tomorrow, All Time Low, We The Kings, Maroon 5 and many more. Their songs are great and I always sing along to the lyrics while listening. I don't really like solo artists but Gloc 9 is an exception. He is a Filipino rapper whom I think is the next Francis M. The lyrics of his song is very meaningful, He shows his sense of nationalism through his lyrics. He opens the eyes of the Filipinos, makes us see the problem of the Philippines. Not only problems but also to be proud as a Filipino.

Music is a part of my life that is very important. So important that if you remove it, it's like you sucked my life out of me. It gives color to my life, enjoyment and happiness.

Start of classes to be moved on September??

The Congress is planning to move the opening of classes on September instead of the usual June. If it will be pushed through, I think many students will be against it and I'm one of them. One factor is that all of the students are already used to coming to classes on June, and having vacation on April and May. They made that schedule in the first place because it fits our climate. We are having vacation on April and May because it is summer and we will not enjoy our vacation if it is raining. And that is exactly what gonna happen if they move the classes on September. It will be very hot while we're having classes and we will be just be stuck in our house in vacation because it's always raining.

So I am against the proposal of the people in the government about the moving of the opening of classes to September. I just don't think there is any solid reason why they had thought of this plan. I think they are just somehow trying to copy the schedule of the school year in America and I don't like it because our climate is different from theirs.

First Astronomy Day

We had our Astronomy day last July 22, 2011 it was the first time that our school had that activity, so all of us are excited. When the day came we had classes in the morning because we are in the second batch. Ma'am Malou didn't attend our class so we just talk and talk. We had our classes in Filipino though. We arranged the outputs in our portfolio in Physics and Math after recess. We ate our lunch and waited for the activities to start.

After waiting, we went down in chemistry lab to watch a film for our first activity. The film was all about telescopes, it's history, the developments and the future telescopes to be used. After that we went to III- O room for the second activity: the exhibit. We sat first and ate Camille explained the different things that can be found on outer space. Then we walk around and looked at the pictures, telescopes etc. that they brought for the exhibit. Then it rained hard so we got stucked in there and waited for the rain to stop. The we had our Space Dome activity. I wasn't very amazed but I still enjoyed the presentation. After that is the Ask an astronomer activity. The astronomers is answering all the questions of the students. Then we went home because the star gazing activity is cancelled because it rained and it's cloudy so no stars can be seen. Many got disappointed but it's okay with me because I want to go home already and I'm already tired.

A place where I want to go

I want to go to American Airlines Arena or The Triple A. It is a sports and entertainment arena located in Downtown Miami, Florida along Biscayne Bay. It is the home to the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association. I want to go there because I want to watch my favorite team in the NBA and of course to see my idol Dwyane Wade play. 

It must be very exciting and thrilling being inside that arena shouting and cheering to my favorite team, boo-ing and distracting the opposing team and of course seeing and meeting my favorite player. When I watch NBA I'm wondering what it feels like to be there. I hope that someday in the future when I'm already rich, I will go to American Airlines Arena to watch and enjoy the game.

Since I'm also a music lover, I also like to be in a concert of any of my favorite bands. I haven't experienced going in a concert so I want my first time to be with my favorite bands. Singing your hearts out and jumping around while watching the band play is very fun. On September 22, 2011 All Time Low will be in the Philippines and will have a concert in Araneta Coliseum. I'm very happy when I read the announcement that they will be here. I hoped that I can watch them but I got disappointed when I saw in the calendar that it's on Thursday and I can't go because I will be at school that time. Maybe there is still a chance to see them next time though.

My Interests

One of my interests is playing basketball, I was in  grade 3 when I started playing basketball. My father thought me how to shoot the ball properly and every weekend I practice with my brother. I also know how to play badminton, but I'm not really good at it because my focus is to be good at basketball. I love watching NBA, it entertains me very much and I love watching my favorite player: Dwyane Wade and my favorite team The Miami Heat. Unfortunately they lost in the finals to the Dallas Mavericks this year.

Another interest of mine is listening to music, I like listening to bands like All Time Low, There For Tomorrow, Paramore, We The Kings, Yellowcard and many others. It relaxes me and it also entertains me and it makes me sing a lot. Whenever I have time I always listen to music. I can't imagine my life without music. And this is one of my favorite hobbies.

I also like reading books. I love Harry Potter books and Bob Ong books. They are very good especially the Harry Potter series. It is very entertaining and it expands my vocabulary. I like Bob Ong because he is funny and he is a good Filipino author.

Of course playing DOTA is always a hobby of mine. It is very fun to play especially if playing it with my friends. It is very addicting but I am resisting myself to playing it because I need to study first. My mother said that I'm not allowed to play it if I'm having bad grades.

All that is mentioned above are my favorite hobbies. It somehow makes me who I am.

My Role in Building a Solid Family

Everyone of us has a family, a family that makes us happy all the time. A family is composed of a mother, a father, and their sons or daughters. Every member has a role in making the family stronger. If anyone from the family fails to do his or her role, the family might fall apart.

My role in keeping our family solid is to be a responsible, loving, obedient, and disciplined son to my parents.
I have to make them proud, and not to disappoint them, by giving them good grades. They want me and my brother to graduate from CNSHS so I have to study hard to meet their expectations. I also do household chores like washing the dishes, cleaning the house, arranging the bedroom after waking up in the morning and picking up the fallen leaves in our garden. My parents always say that we have to help each other in keeping the house clean and nice because we don't have a maid.

I am the eldest son and I have a younger brother.We spend our time together by playing basketball, he always loses every time we are having a one-on-one. I always tease him and say that he is still weak and he needs more practice, but my mom says that I don't need to tease my brother instead teach him how to play better. We also like playing computer games like DOTA and SF, we also listen to rock music and we have favorite bands like All Time Low and There For Tomorrow.

I spend my time with my mother by reading books together or watching the television with her. We both like watching 100 Days to Heaven. She sometimes says that she wants to have a baby girl and she wants her to be like Xyriel Manabat, the child actress that acts as the young Anna Manalastas because she doesn't have a daughter. I told her that it's okay even if she doesn't have a daughter because me and my brother are here to make them happy.

I spend my time with my father by watching movies with him, either in DVD or in cinemas. He always wants me to solve math problems when I'm home and he will check it because his favorite subject when he was still a student was math. He sometimes gets angry when I have low scores in our quizzes in math and tells me that if I do not improve my scores in the next outputs, I might be expelled from my school. I promised him that I will make my grades higher this school year.

A family will be solid and strong if there is love for each member of the family. I am doing my best to make our family solid.

My Beloved Father

Today, we are celebrating a very special day for all fathers out there.

Alexander C. Go is my father, he is a very kind and loving father, and we, his family, love him very much. He works day and night to support our family needs. He manages our small family business which is a franchise of  Master Siomai that we started last year. I know that he is tired every time he comes home but it is okay with him because it is one of the sources of our family income. He is very serious when it comes to our business, he monitors the daily income and lists the things that needs to be delivered to our store.

He also monitors our grades and standing in school, he never fails to remind us to study harder because me and my brother are under probation and if we don't listen to him, we might be expelled at Cavite National Science High School, our school, and that will definitely disappoint him and I don't want that to happen. He is very strict when it comes to our studies, he wants us to always read our books and practice solving Math problems.

My father likes to watch movies, it is our hobby to watch movies, and we always enjoy it. Whenever we have time, we go to the theater and watch a movie that we think is worth watching. Most of the time we go out of the theater happy and thrilled to what we watch but sometimes we go out of the theater disappointed or "bitin". 


My father is also a loving son, when my grandmother gets sick, we immediately go to Manila to visit her. He     always asks her if she is well and gives everything that she needs.

All in all, he is the greatest father I have ever met, I love him very much. So dad,

First week of classes.

After 2 months of vacation, its the start of the school year again. I feel nervous because I think that the lessons this year will be harder . I woke up early so i won't be late for the flag ceremony. I arrived at school just in time. After the flag ceremony, we went to the place where we will clean. After cleaning we went back to our classroom to start the classes. The second day, we took our diagnostic test. It took the rest of the morning. After lunch, we chose the club that we will join and i joind the YSC. We elected the officers of the club. On the third day, we took our diagnostic test in the morning and we had regular classes in the afternoon. We had our regular class on Thursday and Friday.
